On February 8, 2022,
the second meeting of the representatives of “National Values, National Culture
and Ideology” topic took place at “Ararat Alliance” Institute with the
specialists and representatives of different fields of national culture. The Chairman
of the Organizing Committee of the “Ararat Alliance” Forum, Tatul Manaseryan,
and the participants were in consent regarding the issue that Armenia despite
the socio-economic crisis is also experiencing a rapid cultural decline,
especially in national culture.
Today, the national
culture in Armenia, with all its ethnic directions, is edged out of attention,
which is a matter of concern for culturologists, ethnographers, and all the
people who are worried about tomorrow.
After three decades
of victorious, but still difficult post-war socio-economic years since the
independence of the Republic of Armenia, the Armenian nation today stands at
the edge of distortion of national identity and various branches of national
culture, such as national craft, art, history, national spirit, values, and
history of the Armenian Church.
In addition to all
the above-mentioned points, the 44-day war with its consequences proved that
the Armenian Nation has alienated from the highest value of the concept of
Nation and is on the verge of losing it.
The participants
stressed out the fact that different branches of national culture are on the
verge of extinction at present, hence great financial and human resources are needed
to preserve them to bring systemic change and revive the spheres of national
culture.
It was agreed, that the
participants will deliver their clear
approaches and visions on the issues of great value for the sake of preservation of
national identity
during the next discussion of the “National Values, National Culture and
Ideology” topic.
